Arm Cast (Indian Club)
An arm conditioning exercise using Indian clubs with a casting motion to develop shoulder mobility and stability.
Instructions
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding an Indian club in one hand.
- Allow your arm to hang naturally at your side.
- This is your starting position.
- Begin moving the Indian club in a casting motion, extending your arm forward and upward.
- The motion should feel like you are casting a fishing line.
- Return to the starting position in a controlled manner.
- Complete all repetitions on one side before switching to the other side.
- Perform for the prescribed number of repetitions.
Tips
- Indian clubs require controlled, deliberate movements for safety and effectiveness.
- Start with lighter clubs to develop proper technique before progressing to heavier weights.
- The shoulder should lead the movement, with the forearm following naturally.
- Keep your core engaged throughout the movement.
- This exercise improves shoulder stability and mobility.
- Move slowly and deliberately to maintain control.
