Butt Kicks
Dynamic cardiovascular warm-up or cardio exercise where you run in place while kicking your heels toward your glutes with each stride.
Instructions
- Stand with good posture and arms at your sides or bent at 90 degrees.
- Begin jogging in place at a comfortable pace.
- As you jog, kick your heels up toward your glutes with each stride.
- Move your arms naturally as if running, maintaining momentum.
- Alternate legs rapidly, aiming to get your heels as close to your glutes as possible.
- Continue for the prescribed duration or number of repetitions.
Tips
- Keep your core engaged and maintain an upright posture throughout.
- Move at a pace you can sustain; this is a conditioning exercise, not a sprint.
- Use your arms to generate rhythm and maintain momentum.
- This exercise is excellent for warming up before intense training sessions.
- You can perform this exercise for time (20-30 seconds) or a set distance.
