stretching Secondary Muscles

A self-myofascial release technique using a roller to apply pressure and release tension in the foot fascia and muscles.
Instructions
- Sit on a chair or floor with your shoes removed.
- Place a foot roller or small PVC pipe under your foot across the arch.
- Press down firmly with your body weight, creating pressure across the arch.
- Roll the foot roller forward and backward along the arch of your foot, adjusting angle and pressure as needed.
- Hold pressure on tender points for 10-30 seconds.
- Switch to the other foot and repeat.
Tips
- Use a firm pressure that is uncomfortable but not painful.
- Focus on the arch and heel areas where tension commonly builds.
- You can increase pressure by supporting more body weight through the foot.
- Perform this daily for best results in managing foot tension and tightness.
- This technique improves foot mobility and can reduce foot pain.
- It’s an excellent complement to lower leg and calf work.
