Glute Stretch (Band)
A static stretching exercise that targets the gluteal muscles using a resistance band to increase flexibility and reduce muscle tension.
Instructions
- Lie on your back with both knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
- Bring one knee up toward your chest and loop a resistance band around your foot.
- Hold the other end of the band with your hands to gently pull your leg.
- Keep your lower back in contact with the floor throughout the stretch.
- Pull your knee across your body toward the opposite shoulder to deepen the stretch.
- Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds without bouncing.
- Relax and repeat on the other leg.
Tips
- Perform this stretch when your muscles are warm, such as after a workout.
- Go only as far as comfortable; do not force the stretch.
- Breathe deeply and relax throughout the stretch.
- This stretch is particularly effective for releasing tension in the glutes.
- Perform equally on both sides for balanced flexibility.
