Dynamic Back StretchDynamic Back Stretch

A dynamic stretching movement that increases range of motion and flexibility in the latissimus dorsi and back muscles.

Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart with good posture. This is your starting position.
  2. Keeping your arms straight and extended, swing them straight up in front of you.
  3. Continue the arm swing upward and behind your head in a controlled arc.
  4. Return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat this movement 5-10 times, progressively increasing your range of motion with each repetition.
  6. Your arms should create a large circular motion, stretching the back and shoulders.

Tips

  • Perform this movement dynamically and controlled, not bouncing or forcing.
  • Gradually increase your range of motion as you warm up.
  • Keep your core engaged and maintain good posture.
  • This is an excellent warm-up exercise before back training.
  • Combine with other dynamic stretches for a complete warm-up routine.
