Quad Stretch (Band)
A static stretching exercise using a resistance band to improve quadriceps flexibility and range of motion.
Instructions
- Stand upright with good posture, holding onto a stable surface for balance if needed.
- Bend one knee and bring your foot toward your glutes.
- Loop the band around your foot and hold both ends with the corresponding hand.
- Gently pull your foot toward your glutes using the band for assistance.
- Feel a comfortable stretch in the front of your thigh without pain.
- Hold this stretch for 20-30 seconds while maintaining upright posture.
- Release the stretch and repeat on the opposite leg.
- Perform 2-3 stretches per leg, holding each for 20-30 seconds.
Tips
- Keep your knees aligned and avoid letting the knee cave inward.
- Maintain an upright posture; avoid excessive forward lean.
- Use the band for gentle assistance, not forceful pulling.
- Only stretch to a comfortable level; avoid bouncing or forcing the stretch.
- Perform stretches after workouts when muscles are warm for best results.
- Breathe deeply and relax into the stretch for optimal flexibility gains.
