A dynamic stretching exercise that targets the hamstrings and lower back while building core strength through controlled movement.

Instructions

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your knees slightly bent.
  2. Slowly bend forward at the hips, allowing your upper body to fold toward your legs.
  3. Reach your hands down toward your toes, moving only as far as you can comfortably stretch.
  4. Keep a slight bend in your knees to avoid excessive hamstring tension.
  5. Hold the stretched position for 15-20 seconds.
  6. Return to standing position in a controlled manner.
  7. Repeat for multiple reps or sets.

Tips

  • Move slowly and avoid bouncing movements.
  • Keep your knees slightly bent to reduce lower back strain.
  • Breathe deeply throughout the stretch.
  • This can be performed as a dynamic movement or held stretch.
  • Regular practice improves hamstring flexibility and spinal mobility.
