Instructions
- Stand with feet hip-width apart in a neutral standing position.
- Shift your weight onto your left leg, engaging your left glute and core.
- Raise your right leg behind you while simultaneously folding your torso forward.
- Continue lowering your torso while lifting your right leg until your body forms a straight line from head to right heel.
- Extend both arms overhead with palms facing inward, or place hands on your hips.
- Hold this position for 5-30 seconds while maintaining balance and control.
- Return to standing and repeat on the opposite side.
Tips
- Engage your standing leg’s glute and core to maintain stability.
- Keep your hips level and square to the ground—avoid rotating your hips open.
- Focus on a fixed point in front of you to improve balance.
- Lengthen your spine and maintain a neutral neck position.
- If balance is challenging, practice near a wall or use a chair for support.
- Press your standing foot firmly into the floor for a stable foundation.
