Wrist Curl (Band)
An isolation exercise targeting the wrist flexor muscles using resistance band tension. Important for wrist health, forearms strength, and forearm development.
Instructions
- Sit on a bench with your forearms resting on your thighs, palms facing up.
- Loop a resistance band around your palms and hold the ends securely.
- Keeping your forearms stationary, flex your wrists upward, curling your palms toward your body.
- Contract your wrist flexors at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower your hands back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
Tips
- Keep your forearms completely stationary during the movement, isolating the wrist flexors.
- Move through a full range of motion from extended wrists to flexed position.
- This exercise is important for grip strength and forearm endurance.
- Start with lighter band resistance as the wrist flexors are relatively small muscles.
- Proper wrist training helps prevent repetitive strain injuries.
