Instructions
- Grab two weight plates and position them together with the smooth sides facing outward.
- Use your fingers on one side and your thumb on the opposite side to grip and pinch both plates together securely.
- Stand upright with your core engaged and shoulders back.
- Walk forward with the plates at your side, maintaining the pinch grip throughout the carry.
- Maintain constant pressure with your fingers and thumb to prevent the plates from separating.
- Walk for the prescribed distance or duration while maintaining proper posture and grip pressure.
- Rest briefly and repeat for additional sets if prescribed.
Tips
- This is an isometric grip and carrying exercise that builds grip strength and endurance.
- Maintain upright posture during the walk; avoid slouching or leaning to one side.
- Keep constant pressure with your fingers and thumb throughout the movement.
- The distance and duration can be adjusted based on grip strength and conditioning level.
- Perform this exercise regularly to develop exceptional grip strength.
- Breathing should be steady and continuous during the carry.
- This exercise complements other grip training and carries like farmer’s carries.
