A core stability exercise where you maintain a plank position with your feet elevated on a stability ball, increasing instability demands.
Instructions
- Assume a push-up position with hands on the floor, shoulder-width apart
- Place your feet and shins on the stability ball
- Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels
- Engage your core to prevent the ball from rolling
- Maintain this position for the desired duration
- Focus on keeping your hips level and aligned with your shoulders
Tips
- Keep your core engaged maximally to maintain balance
- Avoid letting your hips sag or pike upward
- Breathe steadily; avoid holding your breath
- The ball’s instability increases core activation significantly
- Start with shorter durations and progress gradually
- Ensure the ball doesn’t roll by maintaining firm foot contact
- If balance is very difficult, start with feet closer together on the ball
