Tricep Side Stretch

A static stretching exercise targeting the triceps and side body by pulling the elbow across the torso.
Instructions
- Stand or sit in an upright, relaxed position
- Raise one arm and bend your elbow, bringing your hand toward the back of your neck
- Place your other hand on the elbow of the raised arm
- Gently pull the elbow across your body toward the opposite side, creating a stretch in your tricep and side body
- Hold the stretch position while breathing deeply for 20-30 seconds
- Maintain an upright posture and avoid leaning away from the stretch
- Slowly release and lower your arm
- Repeat on the opposite side for equal time
Tips
- This is a simple yet effective stretch for the triceps and side body musculature
- Breathe slowly and deeply to help the muscles relax into the stretch
- Avoid bouncing or jerking motions; hold steady tension
- Perform this regularly, especially after upper body training
- Can also be used as a warm-up before tricep-focused exercises
- Combine with other stretches for comprehensive upper body mobility work
