Knee Sweep (TRX / Suspension Trainer)
A dynamic suspension exercise combining core flexion with leg movement. Develops core strength, hip flexor control, and dynamic stability.
Instructions
- Start in a plank position facing away from the TRX anchor point with feet in the straps
- Maintain a straight body line with core engaged
- Pull your knees toward your chest while keeping your hips level
- Sweep one knee across your body toward the opposite side
- Return the leg to the center and repeat on the opposite side
- Alternate sides in a controlled, rhythmic motion
- Maintain core tension and a stable upper body throughout
- Return to the starting plank position after completing all reps
Tips
- Keep your hips level; avoid rotation or sagging
- The movement should be controlled, not swinging
- Engage your core maximally to prevent lower back compensation
- Maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise
- Breathe steadily; avoid holding your breath
- Start with slower, controlled movements before increasing speed
- Progress by increasing reps or holding a higher starting position
