Secondary Muscles
An advanced kettlebell combination movement that links a clean followed by a jerk in one continuous motion, building full-body strength, power, and muscular endurance.
Instructions
- Position kettlebell between your feet in a ready position with a slight knee bend.
- Explosively extend your hips and knees to pull the kettlebell to shoulder height.
- Catch the kettlebell in the rack position with your elbow up.
- Immediately dip down by bending your knees while keeping your torso upright.
- Drive explosively upward through your legs to press the kettlebell overhead.
- Lower the kettlebell back to shoulder height and prepare for the next repetition.
Tips
- This is an advanced movement; master the clean and jerk separately before combining them.
- Maintain explosive power throughout both the clean and jerk portions of the movement.
- Use rhythmic breathing to stay oxygenated during higher-rep sets of this demanding movement.
- Perform with controlled tempo and proper form rather than maximal speed or weight.
- The long cycle builds full-body strength, power, muscular endurance, and conditioning.
