Advanced pull-up variation where you move side to side along the bar. Builds lateral pulling strength and core stability.
Instructions
- Grip a pull-up bar with an overhand grip, hands wider than shoulder-width.
- Pull yourself up until your chin is above the bar.
- Shift your body weight to one side, moving toward that side’s hand.
- Extend your opposite arm, reaching toward the opposite end of the bar.
- Return to the center and pull yourself up again.
- Repeat the movement, alternating sides with each repetition.
Tips
- Maintain a pulled-up position throughout the lateral movement.
- Keep your core engaged to prevent excessive swinging.
- Move with control and coordination.
- This is an advanced movement; ensure you can perform standard pull-ups first.
