Bicep Curl to Press (TRX / Suspension Trainer)
A compound upper body exercise that combines a biceps curl with a shoulder press in one flowing movement.
Instructions
- Anchor the TRX straps at mid-length.
- Face the anchor point and grip the handles at chest height.
- Walk your feet forward to achieve the desired angle.
- Perform a biceps curl by pulling yourself toward the handles, bending your elbows.
- At the top of the curl, rotate your palms outward and press your body slightly upward.
- Extend your arms overhead in a pressing motion as if performing a shoulder press.
- Lower yourself back to the starting curl position in a controlled manner.
- Repeat the curl-to-press movement for the desired number of reps.
Tips
- This movement combines pulling (biceps curl) and pressing (shoulder press) in a single exercise.
- Maintain control throughout both portions of the movement; avoid using momentum.
- The transition from curl to press should be smooth and continuous.
- Your body angle determines the difficulty; more horizontal = more challenging.
- Engage your core to maintain stability as you transition between pulling and pressing.
