Chest Fly (Band)
An isolation exercise that targets the chest by adducting the arms in a wide arc using resistance bands, emphasizing chest contraction.
Instructions
- Anchor a resistance band at chest height to a fixed point.
- Stand facing away from the anchor point with the band secured at chest level.
- Hold one end of the band in each hand with arms extended to the sides at shoulder height.
- Keep a slight bend in your elbows throughout the movement.
- Pull both hands together in a wide arc motion across your body, focusing on chest contraction.
- Squeeze your chest muscles at the center point.
- Slowly return your arms to the starting position with control.
Tips
- Maintain a slight bend in your elbows to reduce joint stress.
- Focus on using your chest muscles to pull the bands together rather than arm strength.
- Perform the movement in a controlled manner, avoiding jerky motions.
- Keep your core engaged and body stable throughout the exercise.
- This exercise is excellent for isolating the chest and improving definition.
