Crossover Fly (Band)
An isolation exercise that targets the chest through a crossing motion using resistance bands anchored at upper and lower levels.
Instructions
- Anchor resistance bands at upper and lower points on a fixed structure.
- Stand in the center with one foot forward for stability.
- Hold the upper band with your lower hand and the lower band with your upper hand.
- Start with arms extended and bands crossing in an X pattern.
- Pull the bands together in a wide arc, crossing them in front of your body.
- Squeeze your chest muscles as the bands cross.
- Slowly return to the starting position in a controlled manner.
Tips
- Maintain a slight bend in your elbows to reduce joint stress.
- Focus on the chest contraction throughout the movement.
- This exercise provides variable resistance throughout the range of motion.
- Adjust the height of band anchors to target different chest areas.
- Keep your core engaged for stability throughout the exercise.
