An advanced isometric hold where you support your entire body horizontally with hands only, demonstrating extreme strength and control.

Instructions

  1. Stand sideways next to a vertical pole or stable post.
  2. Reach one arm up and one arm down to grip the pole with both hands.
  3. Place your hands a comfortable distance apart (approximately 2-3 feet).
  4. Engage your entire body and press yourself away from the pole horizontally.
  5. Maintain a straight line from your head to your toes.
  6. Hold this horizontal position for the desired duration.
  7. Gradually build up your hold time through consistent practice.

Tips

  • This is an extremely advanced exercise requiring years of training.
  • Use a sturdy, immovable pole for safety and effectiveness.
  • Lean your body away from the pole at approximately 90 degrees.
  • Train progressively with variations like partial flags or assisted holds.
  • This requires exceptional upper body and core strength.
