One-Arm Kettlebell Split SnatchOne-Arm Kettlebell Split Snatch

An explosive kettlebell movement combining a snatch with a split stance landing, requiring exceptional power and coordination to drive the weight overhead.

Instructions

  1. Hold a kettlebell in one hand by the handle at your side.
  2. Squat toward the floor and then reverse the motion, extending your hips, knees, and ankles to drive the kettlebell upward explosively.
  3. As the kettlebell rises, rotate your hand and punch straight up to receive the weight overhead.
  4. Descend into a lunge position to receive the weight, with one leg forward and one leg back.
  5. Drive through your hips and lock the kettlebell overhead in one uninterrupted motion.
  6. Return to a standing position, bringing your feet together.
  7. Lower the kettlebell back to the starting position under control.

Tips

  • Generate power from your legs during the initial drive
  • Keep the kettlebell close to your body during the upward pull
  • Rotate your wrist smoothly as you transition overhead
  • Split your legs wide for maximum stability
  • Maintain a strong core throughout the movement
  • Lock out completely with full arm extension
  • Complete all repetitions on one side before switching arms
