Renegade Row Bodyweight
A bodyweight variation of the renegade row where you alternate reaching forward during a push-up position, building core stability and upper body strength.
Instructions
- Start in a push-up position with hands shoulder-width apart and your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Lower your body by bending your elbows until your chest is a few inches from the ground.
- Push yourself back to the starting position.
- At the top, shift your weight to your right arm and reach your left arm forward past your head.
- Return your left hand to the starting position.
- Repeat the push-up and reach with your right arm to complete one full repetition.
- Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
- Keep your hips level and core tight throughout the movement.
Tips
- Focus on maintaining a straight body line without sagging hips or rotating your torso.
- Move slowly and deliberately to maximize core engagement and stability.
- The reach component challenges balance and anti-rotation strength.
- If too difficult, perform the movement with knees on the ground for a reduced intensity.
- Wider foot placement increases stability during the reaching phase.
- This exercise is excellent for building core stability and functional strength.
