Secondary Muscles

A push-up performed with feet elevated on a bench or platform, increasing difficulty and emphasizing upper chest and shoulders.

Instructions

  1. Position your feet on a bench or elevated surface with your hands on the ground, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart.
  2. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels, with your core engaged.
  3. Lower your body by bending your elbows until your chest nearly touches the ground.
  4. Push through your hands to extend your elbows and return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Tips

  • The higher your feet elevation, the greater the difficulty and upper chest emphasis.
  • Maintain a neutral neck position throughout the movement.
  • Keep your core tight to prevent sagging hips.
  • Progress by increasing elevation height or adding weight plates to your back.
  • Control the descent to maximize time under tension.
  • Exhale as you press back to the starting position.

Recommended starting values
