Rear Delt Fly (TRX / Suspension Trainer)
An isolation exercise using TRX straps to target the rear deltoids and upper back through a flying motion, improving shoulder stability and posterior chain strength.
Instructions
- Face the anchor point with TRX straps at mid-length and arms extended forward
- Lean back creating an angled position with body tension in the straps
- Squeeze your shoulder blades together and fly your arms out to the sides
- Create a T position with your arms extended perpendicular to your body
- Return to the starting position with control
- Complete the prescribed reps maintaining tension throughout
- Keep your core engaged and body rigid
Tips
- Focus on squeezing your shoulder blades at the end position
- The movement should originate from your shoulders, not your arms
- Keep your elbows slightly bent throughout the movement
- The more you lean back, the more challenging the exercise becomes
- Maintain constant tension in the straps
- This exercise is excellent for shoulder health and posture
