rings

A pulling variation where you position the rings wider apart, emphasizing lat development and shoulder engagement.

Instructions

  1. Hang from the rings positioned wide apart
  2. Pull yourself upward by driving your elbows outward and backward
  3. Bring your upper chest toward the rings
  4. Lower yourself back down with control
  5. Maintain body tension throughout the movement
  6. Repeat for repetitions

Tips

  • Position hands wider than shoulder-width
  • Emphasizes lat and back development over biceps
  • Maintain shoulder stability at wider angles
  • Control the descent to maximize time under tension
  • Build pulling strength progressively
  • Progress by increasing repetitions
  • Good variation for balanced shoulder development
  • Can increase range of motion by going deeper
