An advanced compound movement combining a squat with overhead pressing, demanding significant lower body strength and shoulder stability. Highly technical exercise.

Instructions

  1. Stand facing away from the TRX anchor point holding the handles at shoulder height
  2. Press the handles overhead while simultaneously performing a squat
  3. Lower into a full squat with arms extended overhead
  4. Maintain an upright torso and neutral spine throughout
  5. Drive through your legs and shoulders to stand back up
  6. Return the handles to shoulder height
  7. The pressing and squat motions should happen synchronously
  8. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions

Tips

  • This is an extremely advanced movement requiring strong lower body and shoulders
  • Master basic squats and TRX presses before attempting this
  • Your core must work maximally to prevent excessive lower back arch
  • The coordination between pressing and squatting requires practice
  • Maintain an upright torso throughout; avoid excessive forward lean
  • Keep your weight centered over your feet
  • Breathe in as you squat down, exhale as you drive up and press
  • This builds exceptional full-body strength and coordination
