Primary Muscles
Secondary Muscles

A unilateral back exercise using one TRX handle to perform a rowing motion, building asymmetrical strength and core stability through anti-rotation demands.

Instructions

  1. Face the anchor point with legs staggered for stability
  2. Hold one TRX handle with one arm extended
  3. Lean back creating tension and body alignment
  4. Pull your body forward using your lat and back muscles
  5. Drive your elbow back and rotate your torso slightly
  6. Return to the starting position with control
  7. Complete prescribed reps on one side, then switch and repeat

Tips

  • The unilateral load creates rotational demands on your core
  • Maintain a rigid core to prevent excessive rotation toward the pulling arm
  • Focus on lat and back activation over arm strength
  • The more you lean back, the more challenging the exercise becomes
  • Keep constant tension in the TRX strap throughout the movement
  • This exercise builds anti-rotation core strength
