A beginner-friendly push-up variation where the hands are elevated on a medicine ball, reducing load while maintaining upper body engagement.

Instructions

  1. Position yourself in a push-up stance with your hands on top of a sturdy medicine ball, shoulder-width apart.
  2. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Lower your body toward the medicine ball by bending your elbows at approximately 45 degrees from your body.
  4. Press through your hands to return to the starting position.
  5. Maintain stability on the medicine ball throughout the movement.

Tips

  • This variation reduces the resistance compared to standard push-ups.
  • This is ideal for beginners or those rehabilitating from injury.
  • Keep your core engaged to maintain body alignment.
  • Ensure the medicine ball is stable and won’t roll excessively.
