Low Rollout (TRX / Suspension Trainer)
A suspension-based core extension exercise with hands low, creating a challenging rollout movement. Develops core stability and anti-extension strength.
Instructions
- Stand facing the TRX anchor point holding the handles at waist height
- Lean forward and extend your arms, rolling your body away from the anchor
- Extend as far as you can control while maintaining core tension
- Your body should nearly approach a horizontal position
- Stop when your core begins to fatigue or form breaks
- Pull yourself back to standing using your core and shoulder muscles
- Control the return; use your core strength, not momentum
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
Tips
- This is a challenging core exercise; start with limited range of motion
- Your core must work maximally to prevent excessive spinal extension
- Maintain a neutral spine; avoid hyperextending your lower back
- Breathe out during the extension, breathe in during the return
- You can modify by reducing the range of rollout
- This exercise builds exceptional core stability and strength
- Feel the abdominal muscles working throughout the movement
- Progress gradually as your core strength improves
