Secondary Muscles

A dynamic upper body exercise combining a plank with alternating chest presses using TRX handles, building chest and shoulder strength with core stability demands.

Instructions

  1. Start in a plank position with hands holding the TRX handles at chest height
  2. Keep your body rigid and core engaged in a straight line
  3. Press one hand forward, extending your arm at the chest
  4. Return that hand to the starting position at chest level
  5. Press the opposite hand forward with controlled movement
  6. Alternate sides for the prescribed number of reps
  7. Maintain core stability throughout to prevent rotation

Tips

  • Keep your hips and shoulders square to prevent rotation
  • Move slowly and deliberately for better core activation
  • The suspended position increases the stability challenge
  • Maintain tension in your core throughout the movement
  • Exhale as you press forward, inhale as you return
  • Focus on pressing through your chest and shoulders, not just your arms
