An abdominal crunch variation where you lie on your back and bring your hands to touch your toes, engaging the upper and lower core.

Instructions

  1. Lie on your back on a mat with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Keep your arms extended at your sides or slightly across your chest.
  3. Engage your core and lift your shoulders off the ground.
  4. Bring your hands toward your toes by crunching your upper abdominals.
  5. Reach as far forward as you comfortably can while maintaining the crunch.
  6. Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
  7. Lower yourself back to the starting position in a controlled manner.

Tips

  • Focus on using your core rather than pulling on your neck.
  • Keep your neck neutral throughout the movement.
  • Perform the movement slowly for maximum muscle engagement.
  • This exercise is excellent for building core strength and endurance.
  • Increase difficulty by adding weight on your chest or slowing the tempo.
