Primary Muscles

A challenging pull-up variation where you forearms towels draped over a bar, significantly increasing forearm and forearms strength demands.

Instructions

  1. Drape two towels over a pull-up bar with equal length on both sides.
  2. Grip the towels firmly with both hands, approximately shoulder-width apart.
  3. Hang from the towels with your arms fully extended.
  4. Pull yourself upward by flexing your elbows and retracting your shoulder blades.
  5. Aim to bring your chest toward the bar.
  6. Pause briefly at the top of the movement.
  7. Lower yourself back to the starting hanging position in a controlled manner.

Tips

  • Ensure the towels are securely positioned on the bar before starting.
  • Grip the towels tightly throughout the movement.
  • This exercise significantly challenges your grip strength and forearms.
  • Start with assisted variations if the full pull-up is too difficult.
  • Progress by increasing reps or adding weight with a dip belt.
