V-Up
A core exercise performed from a supine position where you lift your torso and legs simultaneously to form a V shape, then return to the starting position.
Instructions
- Lie on your back on the floor with your arms extended overhead and your legs straight.
- In one explosive movement, simultaneously lift your torso and legs by contracting your core.
- Bring your arms forward and meet your legs at the top, creating a V shape.
- Return to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions.
Tips
- Use momentum from your core muscles to drive the movement.
- Keep your legs straight throughout to maintain tension in the abdominals.
- Control the descent back to the starting position.
- Exhale as you come up and inhale as you lower down.
- Perform 8-12 reps per set for optimal results.
