Secondary Muscles

A dynamic pulling exercise performed on TRX with an explosive, powerful motion driving through the lats and back to develop posterior chain strength and power.

Instructions

  1. Adjust TRX straps to mid-length and face the anchor point
  2. Lean back with arms extended and feet under the anchor point
  3. Explosively pull your body forward using your lats and back muscles
  4. Drive your elbows back and rotate your torso forward with power
  5. Return to the starting position with control
  6. Complete the prescribed reps maintaining explosive intent
  7. Keep your core engaged and body aligned throughout

Tips

  • Generate power from your lats and back, not just your arms
  • The explosive pull builds power and strength in the posterior chain
  • Maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement
  • Use your legs to assist in the movement if necessary
  • Focus on explosive concentric motion and controlled eccentric return
  • Exhale forcefully as you pull, inhale as you return
