A kneeling landmine pressing exercise that reduces lower body stability demand and emphasizes core stability alongside upper body strength development.

Instructions

  1. Load one end of the barbell into a landmine attachment.
  2. Position yourself in a half-kneeling stance with one knee on the ground and one foot forward.
  3. Align your hips and torso to face the barbell.
  4. Grip the end of the barbell at shoulder height.
  5. Press the barbell forward and slightly upward, extending your arms.
  6. Maintain a neutral spine and engaged core throughout the movement.
  7. Pause briefly at full extension.
  8. Lower the barbell back to shoulder height in a controlled manner.
  9. Complete all reps on one side, then switch your kneeling leg position.

Tips

  • The kneeling position forces greater core stability and reduces cheating with your legs.
  • Keep your torso upright and avoid rotating or leaning during the press.
  • This variation is excellent for building anti-rotation core strength.
  • Start with lighter weight than a standing press to master the stability demands.
  • This exercise works well as an accessory to pressing movements.
  • The angled barbell path is shoulder-friendly and suitable for beginners.

Recommended starting values
