Ring Incline Push-Up

Force

Mechanic

Equipment
rings

A horizontal pressing movement with reduced bodyweight demand where your hands are elevated on the rings, making it easier than a regular push-up.

Instructions

  1. Place your hands on elevated rings (higher than feet)
  2. Assume a push-up position with your body in a straight line
  3. Lower your chest toward the rings by bending your elbows
  4. Keep your elbows at approximately 45 degrees from your body
  5. Press through your hands to return to the starting position
  6. Maintain a rigid body position throughout the movement

Tips

  • The higher your hands are elevated, the easier the movement
  • Keep your core engaged to prevent hip sagging
  • Lower your chest rather than your head
  • Progress by lowering your hand elevation gradually
  • Maintain tension in your entire body for better control
  • Can be performed with hands on a bench, box, or low rings
