Equipment
rings

A dynamic pressing exercise performed on the rings where you extend your hips from a flexed position, strengthening the chest and shoulders.

Instructions

  1. Begin in a support hold on the rings with arms extended
  2. Allow your hips to flex forward and downward
  3. Drive your hips upward and backward using your shoulder and chest muscles
  4. Return to the neutral support position at the top
  5. Maintain arm extension throughout the movement
  6. Control the descent back to the starting position

Tips

  • Keep your core engaged to maintain body position
  • Drive the movement through your shoulders rather than just swinging
  • Maintain tension in your entire body for better control
  • Start with shorter ranges of motion if needed
  • Progress by increasing range of motion and volume
  • Can be performed with slight body lean to modify difficulty

Recommended starting values
