A pressing progression exercise where you perform a push-up with increased forward lean on the rings, building toward full planche strength without the extreme difficulty.

Instructions

  1. Begin in a push-up position with hands on the rings
  2. Shift your weight forward so your shoulders move ahead of your wrists
  3. Lower your body by bending your elbows while maintaining forward lean
  4. Press back up to the starting position
  5. Maintain the forward lean angle throughout the movement
  6. Repeat with controlled movements

Tips

  • This is an excellent progression toward the full planche
  • Start with minimal forward lean and progress gradually
  • Keep your body rigid and core engaged
  • Focus on maintaining tension throughout
  • Build wrist and shoulder conditioning gradually
  • Excellent for developing planche-specific strength
  • Can be performed at different lean angles for progression
  • Progress slowly to avoid injury
