rings

An advanced pressing variation where you perform a dip movement with an extreme forward lean on the rings, maximizing chest activation and difficulty.

Instructions

  1. Begin in a support hold on the rings with arms extended
  2. Lean your body significantly forward
  3. Lower yourself by bending your elbows while maintaining the forward lean
  4. Descend until your chest is at ring level or lower
  5. Press through the rings to return to the starting position
  6. Maintain core tension and forward body lean throughout

Tips

  • Requires significant chest and shoulder strength
  • Start with smaller forward lean angles before progressing
  • Focus on maintaining tension in your entire body
  • Lower descent range gives more chest activation
  • This is an advanced variation and should only be attempted with strong dip fundamentals
  • Can cause shoulder stress if performed without proper conditioning
  • Progress slowly and carefully with this advanced movement
