Front Incline Dumbbell RaiseFront Incline Dumbbell Raise

An anterior deltoid isolation exercise performed on an incline bench, where both dumbbells are raised simultaneously from chest level to shoulder height.

Instructions

  1. Set an adjustable bench to an incline of 30 to 60 degrees.
  2. Sit on the bench with your back firmly against the backrest.
  3. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder level with your elbows bent.
  4. Keep your feet flat on the floor for stability and support.
  5. Press the dumbbells upward in front of your body until your arms are nearly straight.
  6. Keep a slight bend in your elbows at the top; avoid fully locking out.
  7. Lower the dumbbells back down to shoulder level in a controlled manner.
  8. Repeat for the prescribed number of repetitions.

Tips

  • The incline position reduces momentum and increases front deltoid isolation compared to standing.
  • Keep your head resting against the pad and your core engaged throughout the movement.
  • The angle of the incline can be adjusted to find the most comfortable and effective range for you.
  • Perform the movement slowly and deliberately to maximize muscle engagement and tension.
  • Keep your feet flat on the floor throughout to maintain proper stability and control.
  • You can adjust the incline angle to slightly vary the emphasis on different shoulder muscles.

Recommended starting values
